Here’s an excellent candidate for the Wrongest Lead of The Year. AP:

President Bush invoked executive privilege Monday to deny requests by Congress for testimony from two former aides about the firings of federal prosecutors.

Sweetheart, get me rewrite, wouldja?

Because a subpoena is not a request!

This sloppy writing wouldn’t be so damaging if it weren’t constantly sloppy in the direction of great deference to the aggrandized exective powers that Bush has unilaterally seized. But n-o-o-o-o! They just can’t seem to help teabagging the man…
