come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.
"If we don't get it done this year, we're not going to get it done," Obama told supporters by phone as he flew home on Air Force One from a West Coast fundraising trip.
Obama's political organization, Organizing for America, invited campaign volunteers to a midday conference call to describe a nationwide June 6 kickoff for its health care campaign.
Nothing like ginning up the sales team to push vaporware.

What the hell is that?
What kind of page is that on?
Are those households that support Obama that have been
granted the "We get Obama's healthcare" badge?

yeah,
the obama badges on the houses really bugged me.
It's part of the banner on the Health Care Organizing Kickoff.
At these kickoffs, you’ll watch a special message from the President, meet like-minded supporters in your neighborhood, make plans for reaching out in your community--and start to put those plans in action.
Together, we’ll win health care reform the same way we won the election: Building support one block, one neighbor, one conversation at a time. Please sign up today.
Creepy
The airbrushing, the rooflines of the houses, the logo over the door (as opposed to one the lawn, say)....

wow
that's seriously sick!
Those Obama logos are getting weirder and weirder--
Has the brand jumped the shark?
I'm so glad Obama is treating health care like
one more opportunity to build his fundraising database and cement his brand. It's always going to be about him, and that's why he's never going to come up with a good plan for health care.
I would rather it didn't get done than for Obama and his pack of health care interest groups to do what I think is inevitable: completely fuck it up.
Reminds me of the rush to sell the Iraq War
Hurry! Hurry! Sale ends Saturday. New and improved President must make room for new inventory!
If it's now or never, and now means doing the wrong thing,
I'll take never.
On C-Span this morning a caller said her employer changed insurance companies, and the new company told her the new coverage would cost her more, unless she insured her children separately on the S-CHIP program. In other words, shift the cost of her family's coverage onto the taxpayer and affordability solved!
This is a small example of why it would be better to do nothing than to increase the subsidies to the insurance industry.
And, this whole brand-Obama thing is incredibly creepy.
