Hitherto, I'd missed him. Try this one.
Pretty nifty. Sounds like this guy and Nouriel Roubini should get together and tie one on.

he's so right--
"not a political entity but, in essence a product, an ornament that made his supporters feel better about themselves."
(and we're so f*cked--in every way)
Frozen on Tammy Duckworth
Damn! I think I missed Bill Richardson!

Biden nominated by acclamation again!
Much simpler. It's just like a big caucus.

is this his lobbyist son on tv now?
or the one going to Iraq?
Biden was the only nominee
why do you think they needed a poll to settle that? Has there been an "open" vote for VP since Truman?
I don't know. Has there?
Sorry to have become infected with cynicism. The teebee does that to me. I guess the acclamation thing reminds me of a laugh track.

“I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat.” - Will Rogers
Everyone can afford an iPod
even your poor, huddled masses, yearning to be free. Therefore, there are no longer any "class" divisions in America.
That was one of the most illuminating essays I've yet read on the dynamics of this election. So when I asked this question Wanted: a soul for a political party I didn't realize that the question had already been answered.
If this be reality, then it truly does NOT matter very much who is elected president (ok, maybe 2% less war casualties with Obama, maybe...., but war is necessary to keeping iPod prices down within our new imperialist Tom Friedmanesque the world-is-flat global economy). Both Obama and McCain have a right-leaning economic stance (free markets, give corporations every opportunity to rape us), and a live-and-let-live social stance (with token deference paid to the dominant christianist culture, but not any more deference than the average joe who goes along with the family to church every week because, y'know, it's just easier that way....).
Check, more info for November decision making.
