I guess this is supposed to make me vote for a post-partisan candidate, but I'm having trouble figuring out why.
I guess because Republicans are assholes, I should feel good about a Democrat who either fails to realize or fails admit it.
And I'm supposed to take umbrage when one who gives wide berth to these assholes is called a "chickenshit." By one of the assholes.
Obama's "divide and conquer" strategy of peeling off the good Republicans might make sense, except you can't divide by zero.
The Rockefeller Republicans are gone. Was all this capitulation -- including warrantless wiretapping and the giveaway to Hank Paulson's buddies -- just to get a couple of endorsements from "centrist" heroes like Colin Powell? Is that what I get for my Constitution and my $700B?
Why the fuck does the preamble of the 2008 Democratic platform begin "A great nation now demands that its leaders abandon the politics of partisan division..."?
What we need to abandon is the Reagan Revolution, not to continue to pay homage to his transformative powers and his demonization of government. Yet, here come the neo-liberals -- and their free-market, grow-the-military, faith-based political religion -- just when we needed real liberals.

What are you going to do with the Republicans? Kill them? There are always going to be people who disagree with you, me, and anyone else. Different strokes you know.
Kos has been talking about "crush them" and I keep remembering the advice of Sun Tzu, leave your enemy with an escape route as he will fight all the harder if there is no chance of escape or, as we in the West know it, a cornered rat fights to the death. Leave them an escape route, preferably one in which you can pick them off one by one, if you have to.
I have some Republicans who are friends and they are good people even if I don't agree with them. Anybody who thinks all Repubicans are assholes is an asshole him or herself. We are all assholes from time to time, even me.

I'm not sure who said or even implied any of the ideas you hyperbolically charge in your post. The only thing I saw was the idea that the GOP has more than had their time in government, and that we shouldn't be co-opting their ideas to build a majority. Where you get the other crap from is beyond me.
But, we've always been at war with Eastasia...
