Simon Johnson floats what can only be a trial balloon. Meanwhile, Krugman's "agonizing" on whether to support Helicopter Ben or not.

Could that put My Dinner With Barry in perspective? Personally I'd put Krugman's "less evil" factor at, say, 50%, and not 2%. (Would have said 100%, except for his health insurance reform posts and refusal to write on accounting control fraud.)

NOTE Of course, Krugman's son did work for She Who Must Not Be Named. Not. So a lot of OFB heads would explode.

I envision him telling his assistant to get him some more coffee, then settling back into his swivel chair for additional agonized contemplation. This could take a while.
