Make It Stop

I am not voting for John McCain. But I want to do more than vote against him, I want to be able to vote for the Democratic nominee without feeling like I’m betraying myself. Which except for one thing, wouldn’t be so hard to do regardless of who the democratic nominee is. But that one thing is a real sticking point. So I have a request for Senator Obama, could he please ask his supporters to knock off the sexist asshole crap when discussing Hillary’s experience or, actually, Hillary generally? And if he could follow suit and refrain from it himself, that would be aces, too. Because it’s kind of hard to tell the difference between Republicans and Democrats when they all look like sexist assholes to me.
Via Steve Clemmons (I can’t get the video to play, but if anyone can, I’d love to see it for myself), Zbignew Brzezinski compared Hillary Clinton to Mamie Eisenhower.
Specifically, according to Clemons, Brzezinski said this primary was basically like John F. Kennedy being faced by a challenge from Mamie Eisenhower. Because apparently, even though Hillary has been a U.S. Senator for longer than Obama, and has a longer history of public service in formal and informal roles (the Legal Services Corporation, heading the Arkansas education review, etc.), she’s ultimately just Bill’s wife.

Front page
I just embedded the video
Is it working for you now?
Yes, thanks vastleft
Hey, Z, how about that Al-Qaeda?
Considering this is the same genius who considered Islamic terrorism and Osama bin Laden an ally, I’ll take “Mamie” over his so-called “JFK” any day.
Jackass. This is all they got isn’t it? They don’t even bother trying to present reasons why Obama is qualified, they just knock on Sen. Clinton (see: How Obama handled Clinton’s challenge for him to present his case for C-in-C threshold).
P.S. I wonder what Susan Eisenhower must think about all this. After all, she did openly support Obama.
Funny how the people who treat Jimmy Carter...
… as dogmeat ooh and aah over Z. But, again, he’s playing their tune.
proving someone we all respect to be wrong
it is, indeed, worse for her, as a woman, than it is for him, as a “black” man. that’s the argument we try to make there, at its core.
nice catch.
Richardson on MSNBC
Hi,
Just watched a clip of Bill Richardson on tonight’s Olbermann (I should know better). Richardson complained of the “catfighting” from the Clinton side and said it was one of the reasons he changed his mind this week.
Richardson also complimented Keith on his foamy special comment on Sen. Clinton, last week. They were both full of mock-sadness at what’s become of Sen. Clinton. Spare me!
BTW, is it possible for people to be concern-trolls on tv? Ugh.
Thanks for this blog! Best regards from Canada,
GDK

yes, there are...
there are tons of concern trolls on tv. My favorite is Tucker Carlson. He’s always so concerned for the Democratic Party. He respects us, he offers advice, he feels our pain. (But he wants us to lose.)
Bless his heart.
