it's going to be very interesting
i know a couple of people who are going to apply for licenses. the ballot measure as passed basically gives the state lege so much time to codify 'how this is going to work.' then they will hold some hearings, public ones, and then after "considering public input" they will draft the law in official form. i expect the War on Drugs types to be out in full force decry why any relaxation of our draconian current laws will mean the End of Civilization Itself. however, i am going to go to the public hearings, and make my own pro-brownies for cancer patients voice heard. i'm proud of myself: i changed at least two votes on this issue and take my own tiny portion of credit for getting it passed.
