The mid-terms...

I'm not sure which is going to be worse: The triumphalism of the Rs if they do as well as "expected," or the triumphalism of the Ds and their career "progressive" lackeys if they don't.* ("Expected" in quotes because, well, "We create our own reality," including all the polling and, with electronic voting machines, the results as well. And by "we" I don't mean us, if you see what I'm saying.)

Personally, the minor hope that I have is that Rs win either the Senate or the House, and not both. Given the givens, a divided government that has ceased to function is the best option available, since the current government has done nothing but make matters worse.

And the major hope that I have is that third parties, like the Greens, and NOTA do very well.

NOTE * The vilification and purging of "bad elements" from the Ds, which is the job of "progressives" everywhere, and especially the funded ones, will continue no matter what, of course.

If the truck is out of control, head for the gravel ramp!

"Gridlock 2010" would have been a great slogan.

Yep, gotta agree

Please let it be the House. I wan to see The Orange Man and how he'll handle the Speakership and then see everything come to a creeping crawl when the bills go over to the Senate, still controlled by the Dems.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
