Don’t worry! It won’t be tested! CNN:
The Bush administration on Friday urged a federal appeals court to stop meatpackers from testing all their animals for mad cow disease, but a skeptical judge questioned whether the government has that authority.
“They want to create false assurances,” Justice
Department attorney Eric Flesig-Greene told a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
See, the problem is too much information.
Give people too much information, they get worried. Then they stop shopping. And that’s bad.

Not a Veggie head here
But I’m doing the next best, I’m going to be raising my own beef starting this Fall when the weaner calves are ready. And yea, they will be tested.
I know not everyone can do that. I want testing for all food animals. It’ll raise the price, which’ll make meat a bit less desirable, which’ll mean more veggies needed and which’ll mean less meat animals rasied, and then maybe they can be raised in better conditions…
I know, I’m a dreamer.
bizarre
lack of testing hurts the meat industry. I stopped eating beef because of this, and cut way back on other types of meat.
I really think the Busheviki just like hurting people, I think they are that far gone.
Totally hot...
We scream about links! Links! all the time, and when I screw up, you add them.
Linky goodness is a liberal value.

Not much worried about Mad Cows
But if we had a test to identify and cull Mad Politicians, that would be awesome.
Maybe that’s what George and the other droids are afraid of.
Not a veggie head here, either
but I limit my family’s consumption of red meat anyway. Recently I overheard some of my friends who say they eat meat but only if it’s been killed “humanely.” I think they meant “raised humanely.” At least I hope so.
Trouble is it's the "other white meat" nobody's watching out for
that’s linked to a mysterious new neuropathy.
Oh, and that nice healthy chicken breast? If it’s not full of arsenic it’s full of concentrated toxins from waste fish.
Bon appetit, everybody.
