Morning becomes meta

Hmm. The titles of the first four (now five) posts this morning all reference it being, y'know, morning.

To kick off a week where we can mourn our financial futures one way or another, any favorite "morning" songs to perk us up or drown our sorrows?

UPDATE: we're now at six and counting.

When I woke up I thought of this...

Four in the Morning*

This is more the "drowning sorrows" type. I'd love to play the Rascals "Beautiful Morning" but just can't face the cognitive dissonance.

...and also this, or maybe this version [Darkness, Darkness - The Youngbloods, or wonderful Robert Plant]. And this [Morning Dew, the Jeff Beck live version].

*Four In The Morning by the Youngbloods, their first album. Obviously I'm living in the past this morning.

Edited to add titles and artists, which I certainly should have done in the first place!

Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane at Woodstock

Never heard that one before

At first I thought you were referring to the line in "Still Crazy..." about being crapped out and yawning.

Dang, why didn't that embed?

I'll repost if someone can tell me why it didn't work.

Here's the link if you need to hear it now:
