Louisville protest calls for single-payer health-care system

Insurer targeted in health care protest

About 30 sign-waving demonstrators picketed in front of Blue Cross Blue Shield headquarters in Jacksonville on Thursday to protest against the insurance-based U.S. health care system and to advocate a guaranteed "Medicare for All" system.

Some passing motorists honked to the demonstrators' invitations to acknowledge problems with health insurance and to support the National Health Insurance Act, co-sponsored in the U.S. House by Rep. Corrine Brown of Jacksonville and others, according to the Library of Congress.
