I was cruising through the sphere today and wandered off into Kos. I usually don’t. I’ve been trying to reformulate my worldview. I found one of my axiomatic themes (geography determines economy) at Political Cortex. The change in climate, the development of quantum, photonic, encryption, simulated brains, feudal intellectual property rights, massive capital domination by a disproportionate few, not to mention electronic voting.
Does it still make sense to talk about political action at the level of candidates? If so, how and why? The republic has gone feudal and the mechanisms of articulating the vox populi are no longer the same as when the country was founded in 1776, restructured in 1865, amended in 1968. Eisenhower’s prophecy has come to pass. To what extent are the measures of political action and organization relevant or effective. The ability to navigate the arctic is going to radically shift the geo-strategic capabilities of every major military force on the planet, the board is changing and as a consequence new powers will emerge in new configurations. Misguided as the neo-cons are they were right; sociopathic, narcissistic, racist, and delusional but, right.
BTW can we push for verification of the vote (paper trail) and the rewriting of the bankruptcy laws by somebody other than BANKS!
