On Saturday, September 13, 2008, single payer advocates from across New York will meet in Albany to form a new statewide organization.

Our aim: to build an unbeatable movement for a single payer public system that would fully fund comprehensive health care, including prescription drugs, for all. We invite all single-payer supporters to join us!

Please read the whole thing if you live in New York. New York is a key state, not just because it is so large. NY is key because Clinton is on the HELP committee and Schumer is on Finance, key committees for single payer. 9 of NY's Representatives are cosponsors of HR 676. 3 of those Reps. service on the critical House Health subcommittee that has jurisdiction.

Clearly NY is a very key state.
