Honestly, all this coverage of ginned up pseudo-controversies from winger bottom feeders. What is the World's Greatest Newspaper thinking?
If it's not treating the Cathol League's Donohue as anything other than racist buffoon and anti-semitic blowhard, it's treating Pelosi's desire for a plane that carries enough fuel to fly non-stop to LA as newsworthy. They just eat it with a spoon, do they?
What complete waste of time and trees.
More cocktail wienies, anyone?
NOTE "Cathol League" is not a typo. Snicker.
UPDATE Chris Bowers really fought the good fight on this. What he said:
It is bitterly ironic [or only to be expected] that established news outlets are failed to provide context, do proper research, vet sources, and otherwise uphold basic standards of journalism on a story about bloggers. After all, bloggers often receive exactly the same criticisms from the established media. However, few people heard about William Donahue's long history of vicious religious intolerance--instead, they only heard that he was a Catholic who wanted Amanda and Melissa fired. Also, few people heard that John McCain's staff has been criticized for controversies far surpassing this--instead, most were given the impression that this was the first case of a blogger / campaign controversy. Others heard outright falsehoods about the story, such as the notion that Amanda tried to delete her past comments.
Well, that's our famously free press.

Donohue
It seems the media will take any non-story and run with it. Donahue is a hatemongering bigot, but CNN and MSNBC gladly put the microphone in front of him and let him spew his crazy remarks.
