<p>You know, if Obama hadn't indulged himself <a href="http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/Obama_Lipstick_on_a_pig.html">by getting snarky in front of a friendly crowd</a>, he could be talking about the economy right now -- and winning P.T.A. moms too, who like those kitchen table  issues. But no. Never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Meanwhile, all the Ds are saying <a href="http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/shaken-dems-fear-obama-on-downslide-2008-09-09.html">Obama needs to go after Palin</a>. </p>
