McCain, advisers divided over Wright.
I mean, Jeebus, the first Swift Boat ads against Kerry ran in May.

not the Wright approach
McCain is susceptible on the crazy preacher issue. Even if the networks ignored it, plenty of youtube on Hagee and others.
Well, heck, that never stopped Bush
Jeebus, Bush, AWOL boy, swiftboats a war hero? Like I said -- not trying.
[ ] Very tepidly voting for Obama [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.
Obama would just play the race card
...again. McCain knows this all too well.
the rabid GOP animals who usually
run this stuff and make it an issue don't like McCain -- and never have -- without them and without the media, he can only get some dirt out there.
Any mention of Wright, in earnest
And out comes Hagee and the "Whore of Babylon" business, and out comes that video of Palin with the witchcraft guy at the AOG church.
Besides, they're getting Wright out there by talking about Wright being off-limits, and how McCain's the one who won't let them talk about it (even as they talk about it) because he's such a stand-up guy.
Bush Wouldn't have had a problem doing this.
They'd have ran Wright from June to November, non-stop, and it has nothing to do with McCain's own pastor issues (which, simply aren't comparable to Obama's pastor problems, BTW).
McCain's refusal to go forward with this and other similar attacks is exactly why he lost to Bush in 2000.
