... (here) is there any reason to own a teebee?
I say No! One less addiction! And detox doesn't take all that long; only a year or so....

Medicare for All would save $350 billion a year (study in New England Journal of Medicine).
In 2003, a young Illinois state senator named Barack Obama told an AFL-CIO meeting, "I am a proponent of a single-payer universal healthcare program*." -- Bill Moyers.

Moyers was nothing special...jes another bit player in....
...the Spectacle.
Remember:
'All that once was directly lived has receded into representation.'
Moyers was the only respected voice who brought true progressive
and liberal ideas to broadcast TV. And there's precious little on cable which covers what he does.
His going is a great loss.
Wow.
And Now going as well? Hell's bells, we are so fucked.
HIMYM
Though the latest episodes are not nearly as funny as the first few seasons.
(HIMYM = How I Met Your Mother)
Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia has also declined dramatically in quality as well. Sigh.
Of course, I pretty much only watch sports these days and now that the World Cup is about to get underway, well, there's no way I won't be watching it.
Only tyrants rig elections.
Man, I just watch cartoons mostly.
Looney Tunes just started airing again on Cartoon Network. Coupled with some of their other great shows, like Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Cartoon Network fulfills most of my needs. Otherwise I turn to Nicktoons Network or DisneyXD.
Nothing is true; everything is permitted.
Robot Chicken and Titan Maximum
Are weaknesses, I'll admit. And I'm dedicated to watching Bones.
But get my news from the teebee? I think not. I'm still working on my roommate, who still thinks it's good for more than the weather.
I do love me some Nicktoons Network too. I had to0 drop cable during season 2 of Avatar, and now I'm finally getting caught up. Mighty B and Fairly Oddparents rock too. And you can never forget Spongebob.

To further elucidate the role of the 'sphere in it's war with 'The Spectacle' I leave you with this germ of an idea.....
