Somehow, Obama was able to keep his food down at dinners celebrating collaboration and compromise with the people who have brought ruin and shame to every imaginable aspect of American life. Pure magic!

John McCain was wondrously transformed into "an American hero who set a standard of patriotism and bipartisanship for all to follow."

And Colin Powell was miraculously transmuted into a man with "remarkably consistent loyalty to a set of principles: truth, loyalty and determination." He's loyal to loyalty itself! Whatta man! Only a churlish sort would hold against such a gent peccadilloes like the My Lai coverup or singlehandedly enabling the killing of a million Iraqis and the, perhaps, irrevocable destruction of America's reputation and fortunes.

It all makes me feel so guilty for being partisan enough to vote for a Democrat, when there are such exceptionally admirable people on the other side of the aisle. What the hell was I thinking?
