Today, senior officials of the Barack Obama campaign called for Hillary Rodham Clinton to fire the top member of her team: Hillary Rodham Clinton.
They termed Clinton's continued presence in her campaign "divisive," as it forced Obama and his staff to trump up charges of racism and to attempt to disenfranchise voters of two large states that will be crucial in the November election.
"Just when I was ready to feel proud of America," said one woman close to Sen. Obama, "this Hillary person made us degrade ourselves with an ad we ran claiming she would 'say anything and do nothing.' How can making us do that be good for the party?"
Also concerning to the Obama camp was Sen. Clinton's deliberate targeting of states with the largest electoral impact. "I suppose we can just hope she'll make a change for unity," said a top Obama aide, "like that'll do anything!"
Several neutral observers, including Jonathan Alter, Keith Olbermann, and Randi Rhodes have signed an open letter calling for Clinton to fire herself from her campaign because, "if there's one thing we learned in the 2000 and 2004 campaigns, the first side to declare 'get over it' is the one that will best serve our nation's interests."

I think it's the last paragraph that fully exposes what has become of the liberal movement. That "Fighting Dem" movement didn't last too long, did it?
