Having worked polls for forty years and recruited volunteers over most of that time, I know that for poll workers to stand in the cold March rain at 7am, or even the warm August summer sun, self-selects for passionate volunteers, poll workers young and old alike who wear their enthusiasm on their sleeves and their faces. Getting to make faces at the other side is about the only pay they get. I would not call that intolerant, and especially not bullying. Our democracy is not nearly as raucus as it was, say, in the Adams/Jefferson election when getting shot was a real danger — as I recall.

The Obama supporters are the group I specifically referred to as bullies..
Unless the poll workers are glaring hatefully at supporters of another candidate, they are not the issue..
Unless of course, they are activly trying to intimidate voters they do not agree with..I believe that violates several election laws.

I’m receiving reports that contrary to Texas Democratic party caucus rules that preclude registration forms from being submitted before either 7:15 pm or the last vote at a precinct has been cast, Obama volunteers are handing out the forms at precincts today and asking people to fill them in and then collecting them. For Obama to submit the forms on the voters’ behalf without the voter physically being present at the caucus would violate the rules.

Farrell, Ohio’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, a letter carried by Obama supporters — signed by Obama state director Paul Tewes — is deemed “not legally sufficient on its own to allow someone to gain access to polling places.” Farrell notes that state law requires that polling observers must be “duly appointed” and have been previously issued a certificate….

Lynn Utrecht, chief campaign counsel for Sen. Hillary Clinton, said that she’d recieved reports from the field of Obama poll workers being kicked out of precincts for aggressively challenging voters. Adding it up, she said, “and it’s a pattern.”

Must be those Chicago-style politics I’ve heard so much about because they sure aren’t transformative, new-style politics.

Clinton must operate under The Clinton Rules, and so everything she does is wrong.

Obama is allowed to operate under The Obama Rules, and so everything he does is right.

It follows from this is that there are and can be no voting irregularities from Obama. That would violate the very fabric of reality.

But I’m not going to detail those things today because I’m, surprisingly, still pulling punches with regards to what I write about Hillary. I don’t want to damage Hillary should she become our nominee, as increasingly unlikely as that appears. I don’t want to write about very real scandals in Hillary’s past, scandals that we will be forced to revisit for the next 8 months, and 8 years. I don’t want to write about the rumors about Bill that no one has written about to date, even though the rumors include lots of details which are at least just as true as Obama being a Muslim.

What the Fuck Ever, Dude. And what on earth could he possibly accuse Hillary of that is new? And like BTD, I love the fact that he’s basically promising to publish lies about her (“are at least as true as Obama being a Muslim”). Nice standard there.

Apparently it was Hillary’s denying that Obama is a Muslim (“of course not”) and calling it “ridiculous” and a “smear” that set Aravosis off. It’s amazing to me that Obama gets to play 1,000 rounds of What Obama Really Meant and even when Hillary’s meaning is perfectly clear, they interpret it in the most awful way and she gets no benefit of the doubt whatsoever.

I’d be more upset but I think this kind of crap actually helps Hillary and hurts Obama. While I’m a Hillary supporter, I like to think I’m still enough reality-based to know that any regular person, including any Obama supporter who isn’t part of his crazy internet OFB, is going to see Hillary’s remarks and think these Obama Blog Boys are insane.
