Here's something historic

I'm not vouching for the source, but if this is true...

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washingt...

Apparently, the geniuses that run the DNC took out zillion dollar loans so they could overspend. Now Obama is milking his followers to pay their bill. The guy's going to own the DNC lock, stock and barrel.

Oh how I remember the fusillade of criticism when it became known that Hillary lent her own campaign money. Of course, now, nary a peep from the Oborg.

plus they're fundraising for the inauguration/transition too--

where did the hundreds of millions they already raised go? Axelrod's pocket?

why weren't they giving cash to the DNC all along? or raising money for them while they did it for themselves?

or did they want the DNC starved?

also, don't forget that they didn't want 527s operating--they wanted full control all along.

we need a Obama "pragmatic" watch too--

661,000 hits (and it'll be growing) --

news results are far less, but they'll be growing too--it's the latest talking point -- http://news.google.com/news?q=obama%20pragmatic&sourceid=mozilla2&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&um=1&sa=N&tab=wn

Someone (you? me? Lambert? a volunteer?) oughta...

write a post called "The Toxic 'Pragmatism' Meme."

"Pragamatic" is, of course, Village-speak for "sensible/necessary/admirable betrayal of progressive values."

amberglow's picture

totally--

but this is a meme that the campaign itself is pushing--heavily. That it feeds and reassures and reaffirms the Village's desires/demands is intentional -- and terrible for us.

I just saw Dick Parsons (ex-ceo AOL/TimeWarner, on Economic team) use it repeatedly on CNBC--and Jarrett's pushing it too--all of them are.

You need a general warning on posts like this

I almost choked when I scrolled down.

How would that thing

possibly recognize "purity of soul"?

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Ugh.

amberglow's picture

isn't it unbelievable?

i still don't know if it's real or fake.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
