Occupy Sandy Data Project on International Open Data Day – 2/23
We’re excited to be joining joining forces with Occupy Sandy to collect, digitize and pre-process any and all data for the upcoming hackathon, and an open data release. They’ll be different types of data to work with, including canvasing forms, Amazon Registry records, and more.
After prep, the data can immediately be used to help assess the impact of Occupy Sandy relief effort, and the extent of unmet needs in neighborhoods devastated by Sandy in the days, weeks, and months after the superstorm hit NYC. We’ll be doing just that (and more) the very next weekend at Occupy Data Hackathon. Hope you’ll join us then too!
All skill levels are welcome. Please register here so we can put your name on the visitor list.
Group will be meeting at the CUNY Graduate Center on 365 Fifth Ave, room 5409 from 12-6PM. The building is diagonally across from the NE corner of the ESB.
