* No would could have imagined that the media would be hostile if Democrats even thought about acting like Democrats
* No one could have imagined that Obama+Reid+Pelosi would be enablers of a Republican agenda
* I never said he was that good, anyway. And no fair citing my old blog posts, articles, etc. where I said he was transcendentally transcendent in an especially magical, pure, and world-healing way.

and he's totally the type to use the WH the way Dubya's people did--the attorneys stuff, and making all fed agencies work to help one side alone. (and because they never got in real trouble for it, it's probably now ok or seen as ok by the village, i guess)

Since there is no such thing as a presidency void of controversy, then why should a black person even become president if racism puts them in a total straitjacket? I knew that I could never pick Hillary Clinton to be president if she wasn't, at least, willing to deal with the misogyny. She never lacked courage in taking it on. Better yet, she dug her heels in more with regards to gender rights, being the total opposite of Obama with regards to "black" issues.
I don't know what to make out of Obama: he's incredibly audacious and yet he's no leader. I keep hoping I'm horribly wrong and he'll take advantage of this incredible moment in political history to be a transformative president (in a good way), but I'm so scared he'll fuck it up. Big.
