Open Letter to Bowers and Moulitsas Now Online

john.halle's picture

Hi Everyone,

The Open Letter to Kos is now on line for you to sign onto here.

As a strategic matter, I think this may have some potential. Notice that if DKos reverses their policy, the story is that they caved to pressure. Always a good thing to see.

If they don't they'll be shown up for being the hacks which we all know they are.

Hope some of you can find the time to sign on and/or circulate this to your networks.

Also, at the risk of sounding pretentious and annoying, I thought I'd extend my thanks to everyone for their comments on the Hamsher response. Really excellent discussion-I learned a lot from it.

For taking a stand and being willing to argue for it. The only way things change is if someone is willing to challenge a mindset to begin with- so thank you.

for your help in working through this. The initial list of signatories includes David Swanson, David Lindorff, Margaret Flowers, Kevin Zeese, Matt Gonzalez, Ben Manski,
Scott McClarty, Ted Rall, Paul Street, Gregg Jocoy, John Caruso, and Joanne Landy.

I hope you can help in circulating this to your lists. It would be nice to have a respectable number of signatures before sending it on to Bowers and Moulitsas.

This is a worthy effort. But I think the only way for it to be successful is for the DKos community to become aware of it.

Are they?

posting it in a diary at FDL first. Jane disagreed with him in a letter. That doesn't necessarily mean that she'd censor a polite post asking if they'd like to see the option of a third party progressive voting block go mainstream.

What do you mean "he", CWaltz. You'll notice I didn't sign the letter, you did!

So it's really "we". In fact, I think it would have a lot more force if someone else (e.g. you) were to post it at FDL. Of course, I would be very grateful if you did.

Thanks very much for supporting this, in any case.

J

Lambert,

Could you look into what this would entail?

Anarchistically yours,
