I am so very tired of this shit. Why is common sense so fucking hard for our “leaders” to grasp? Jesse comes out swinging, and then takes it all back. No wonder no one takes him seriously anymore. If this is the best you can do, Jesse, then it’s time for you to just retire and keep yourself to your church. Compare and contrast:
Last week, Mr. Jackson issued a statement that was widely touted by critics of the conservative-leaning network in which he said this:“I am disappointed by the Congressional Black Caucus Institute’s partnership with Fox, and strongly encourage them to reverse that decision. Why would presidential candidates, or an organization that is supposed to advocate for Black Americans, ever give a stamp of legitimacy to a network that continually marginalizes Black leaders and the Black community? Fox moderating a presidential debate on issues of importance to Black Americans is literally letting the Fox guard the henhouse – Fox should be rejected.”
But today, he said that statement was sent up as a warning, because “there are some tensions on the part of Fox News; … attacks on basic civil rights. They have a very strong political point of view.”
In moderating his view, he said, he had been engaged in discussions with some members of the black caucus, and he came to understand their desire to reach a broader audience.
Let me make it as simple as I can: FOX viewers will never vote for Democrats. OK? Is that clear enough for you?
Snark fails me here, because you’d think if anyone would understand that, it’d be Jesse. Does he really think the CBC is going to tame FOX? Or that these debates will be well received by their viewers? I imagine your typical FOX viewer will watch the debates solely for the purpose of mocking the Democratic candidates, and I expect plenty of dog-whistles inserted into the debate by the anchors, feeding the base with all the coded information they need to process what Democratic candidates say. But “some members” of the CBC are stupid enough to believe that there will be a benefit in this, and that “reaching a broader audience” will translate into votes.
Pathetic. CBC folks, if you are reading this, please review the over 800 recent examples of why this is a stupid, stupid move.

This whole “we just want you to hear us!” servile-cur routine is about as crafty as your ex-girlfriend wanting to hang out more because ’what she values most is your friendship’. These people are physiologically dependent on Karl fucking Rove propaganda.
Unfuckingbelievable.
But I still believe
And I will rise up with fists!!
