Penn Dem Solon: Minnesota Bridge Victims "Screwed Us"

Paul Kanjorski, D-Pennsyltucky Stupidified, denounced the cost of repairs to the I-35W Bridge which fell into the Mississippi river as "ballooning." “They discovered they were going to get all the money from the federal government and they were taking all they could get,” he said. In essence they took the opportunity “to screw us,” he said of the funding grab.
This Democrat believes that people who want their INTERSTATE BRIDGE fixed are trying to fornicate his constituency? What the HELL, over?

Oh, and he took a cheap shot at working people who come to America for jobs, too:

“We’ve created economic servitude in the United States,” Kanjorski said. “We don’t call them slaves any more but that’s what they are to us.”

A self-described “strong border person,” the congressman said closing the border would “have a hell of a jolt” on the nation’s economy because it would eliminate the labor source for low-paying and menial jobs taken by the illegal immigrants.

I don't really know whether to applaud him for admitting that the current situation in Mexico and the US Corporations' willingness to exploit desperation amounts to slavery, or be appalled that he calls himself a Democrat.

Pennsylvanians: Is it something in the damn water, or what?

In the water and in the air

Ex#2 is from PA, spent a lot of time there and let me tell you, it's a seriously weird culture. So far as I could suss out what has happened is that anyone with a working forebrain migrated out a long time ago. What is still there can best be described as a "residuum."

And if you think this guy is bad, you ought to meet some of the R-PA crowd, truly scary; more than happy to roll back 150 years just so they could join the Confederacy.

You couldn't pay me enough to live there.

Ah, Life's Eternal Queries: By Whom Would One Rather Be Fleeced?

the huge, corrupt, nationally politically connected defense contractors, or
the huge, corrupt, locally connected hiway contractor and his cousin?
koo-koo-ka-shoo, Mrs Robinson...

Three new stadiums in Minnesota --

Count 'em -- three separate stadiums -- are being built RIGHT NOW. U of M Gopher football, Minnesota Twins baseball, and a third stadium planned for the Minnesota Vikings (which isn't actually being built yet, but will be soon).
How much does a stadium cost? Guess. Give up? Pretty much just what a new bridge costs. Funny how that is.
All three are funded mostly by tax-payer funds. From Minnesotans. Which means that money wasn't being spent to replace the bridges that need to be replaced.
So my take is this guy may be a nutter, but he's right.

Well, the corps need the skyboxes to make deals in

and write off the expenses.

So what's your point, AC?

Besides, probably a 100 people got jobs as weinie vendors or parking lot attendants. So kwitcherbellyaching.
