People Are Using Wikipedia To Learn About Sex

According to WebProNews, and that's spelled "pro", not "pr0n," okay, so get your mind out of the gutter. They in turn source it to something called Compete which I admit I didn't look up in my rush to get you this information:

Wikipedia has replaced the World Book encyclopedia and other texts as the place to find out about sex. 16 percent of the top 100 terms "do not appear to have gratuitous intent," Torres wrote. People are looking for very basic, physical information.

"It appears many people are learning about what sex is and how to have it by referencing Wikipedia," said Torres.

Fortunately Thursday is the last day of the workweek for me so I can go start drinking heavily now. Curse this tek-knowledgy shit anyway. Kids should be learning about sex from their parents, unsavory peers with older siblings, and their clergy....oops. Let's strike that last one, okay? Maybe Wikipedia isn't so bad after all.

Conservapedia

I am sure that we all are relieved that the Conservapedia is not hot on the trail of this trend - no "how to sex" or similar entries.
