"Press #2 for Senator Lieberman"

(860) 244-2006. (Yes, his staff got Joemental's site back up.)

But Joe's mailbox was full. So was the general mailbox. So I pressed some random numbers and got through to a mailbox that wasn't empty.

And then left a very polite message, first explaining my predicament with the capacity failures on the mailboxes, then asking:

"What I would like to know is when Senator Lieberman plans to resign his committee posts, since he is no longer a Democrat, and is, in fact, running against a Democrat?"

Just doing my little bit to brighten Joe's day!

UPDATE Heck, I signed up for his mailing list. Here's Lieberbot's response:

Dear lambert,

Just a short note to welcome you to my new Email network. Together, our team has worked hard to bring our message of hope and a promising future to Connecticut's voters. I promise you I will continue to fight hard for Connecticut and represent our state with honor and common-sense in the halls of the US Senate.

Again, thank you very much for being here with us. I wanted you to know that I appreciate your friendship and confidence in me.

Sincerely,

Joe Lieberman

Snicker.

Still trying to do things on the cheap, which makes sense as the donor money dries up.

I mean, "common-sense" with a hyphen? Can't they afford to hire someone who knows how to spell? Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
