The good guys are ahead, But it's still close:
[T]he right to same-sex marriage when they go to the polls on Tuesday but support for a ballot measure to ban the practice has increased in recent weeks, a poll showed on Friday.
The latest Field Poll conducted from October 18 to Tuesday showed the proposed ban on same-sex marriage failing, with 49 percent opposing the ban and 44 supporting it. Opposition to the ban was stronger in September, when 55 percent opposed it and 38 percent supported it.
So not voting in CA is definitely not cool.
And thanks to the wise leadership of The Great Helmsman, He Who Is Named Barack Obama... Oh, wait....

Same Thing
Same thing is happening to the embryonic stem cell expansion ballot proposal, here in Michigan. It's always safe to assume that on ballot proposals dealing with cultural issues, in these times, the undecideds usually break in favor of the more conservative stance. This is exactly what happen to the ant-affirmative action proposal that passed here in Michigan in 2006, which showed it failing and then winning in a landslide when all of the undecideds broke for the conservative view of the issue.
Yeah, on issues like these turn-out is a must for liberals.
But, we've always been at war with Eastasia...
I'm a bit jealous
Not that I would really want either marriage rights or stem cell research to be in jeopardy in my state, but here in Mass. there's nothing so exciting on our ballot. And although I'm glad gay marriage never made it to a ballot here, it would have been thrilling to cast a vote in support of it. The other races in my district are boring, too (Kerry for Senate, Markey for House, both will win in a landslide).
