Protesters sing a song of sixpence, er, $5K each, to Obama at SF fundraiser--
Primary tabs
Song sung at Obama fundraiser breakfast in SF this morning.
Dear Mr. President we honor you today sir
Each of us brought you $5,000
It takes a lot of Benjamins to run a campaign
I paid my dues, where's our change?
We'll vote for you in 2012, yes that's true
Look at the Republicans - what else can we do
Even though we don't know if we'll retain our liberties
In what you seem content to call a free society
[Oops, there. Now he has no damn reason to listen to you anymore--sheesh]
Yes it's true that Terry Jones is legally free
To burn a people's holy book in shameful effigy
But at another location in this country
Alone in a 6x12 cell sits Bradley
23 hours a day is night
The 5th and 8th Amendments say this kind of thing ain't right
We paid our dues, where's our change?
Group behind this is offering payments for videos of people singing this song. See article.

Via Greg Mitchell on Day 145, Thursday, April 21 --yes, one hundred and forty-five days!-- of blogging about WikiLeaks. Several more links at his blog for the singing protesters, and, as usual, all things related to WikiLeaks.
Which our own MCM seems to find so yesterday, but day by day, newspapers all over the world are revealing new information found in the leaked State Dept. cables about their own countries and their relationships with the US.

Another non-violent protest
The techniques are listed here.
If you type in the technique number, select it, then click the NV button, a link to the NV page is automagically created...
Confession: I didn't think of the non-violent list, but it did
seem to me to be a non-violent guarantee of voting for Obama no matter what he does.... A cave by progressives.
Altho' it was mildly embarrassing to him, it will have no impact on his actions. He's already pronounced Bradley guilty (gee, another similarity to BushBoy!).
It cost the protestesr far more than it will cost Obama.
(Also, I can't highlight anything except in the subject line (select text) in order to use the shortcut buttons when I'm in Win7/IE8. I tried IE9 and that wouldn't work either and had lots of problems. Alas.)
highlighting in win7/ie8
i found that i couldn't use the mouse to highlight/select text in the comments box, but i CAN use the shift + arrow keys.
OMG, Hipp!!! It worked!!!! Shift+arrow for highlighting WORKED!
I've just been holding down the delete key to delete, which can be tedious (as holding down the shift and arrow keys can be), but at least I can use the buttons. But not having to type in the full link HTML code will be a true time (and accuracy) saver.
Thank you so very, very, very much!
yay!
glad it worked for you. it was a lifesaver for me, but it took me ages to think of trying it.
I'm doing a little Happy Dance here, blowing kisses southward,
hooting, and scaring the cat!
What hit me on thinking of more benefits of your fix is that I can COPY when posting longer comments and not lose them to wayward fingers hitting I don't even know which key that wipes out comments.
Just a nice sense of relief. And, again, thank you.
