Rainy Sunday Morning

08-05-07_0809 Mornings like this, when we get a soft rain we really need, it's easier to understand Tolkien's ponderous obsession with the seasons. You can just taste fall's kiss upon the full bloom of summer. Sweet and sharp. I'll put up my Kos report later. Love to all the homies keeping it real.

How do posts get flagged as 'possible spam'

at the instant they are posted?
Any idea, my good friend?

Flagging posts

Er, obviously I don't want to hand some clever spammer the ability to exploit this response....

That said, the comments are instantly processed when the submit button is pushed for patterns that we have developed over time (and, of course, the IP addresses of spammers). The patterns include various pharmaceuticals, cellphone options, mortgages (for awhile, no more), and also some topic areas that have proven to attract either spammers or especially noxious and repetitive troll -- sexual matters, but also Middle Eastern policy and some flavors of CT.

No authoritarians were tortured in the writing of this post.

Warms the heart

Thanks for the beautiful, lovely feeling of morning.

That's a Morning-glory, right?

I'm right at the top of my botanical skill-set with that one.
Next year, i'm gonna fill my front yard with lavender, sun-flowers, and hollyhocks.

indeed, woody. i grew six or eight different kinds this year

they're easy here, and cover ugly inorganic yard features with beauty. ha, everything looks ugly to me now, if it is not adorned with some nature. i drive around the 'hood and think, "if only someone would put /plant x/ on that, it would be so much nicer."

i envy the bicostal people, for in those state people grok that civilization is prettier with flowers.

Also, Senior Fellows have

antispam superpowers. We reach forth our mighty hands and touch one tiny little button, and *poof*! the spam goes flying back into its little Hormel can, the key runs backwards and seals the metal strip back around the top, and it's gone.

My supersecret superhero superpower name is Kali. And I'm known as the sweet and kindly one of the group*, go figure. :)

*Well, other than Leah that is. She makes Mother Teresa look like Charles Manson.
