Religious people are the best people

I swear I'm not making this up!

An Ohio school board has voted to fire a science teacher accused of using a device to burn the image of a Christian cross on students' arms.

The instructor is accused of preaching his Christian beliefs in class and teaching creationism.

Just the kind of guy I want teaching science. In fact, that's probably why he decided to teach it: To wreck it, just like the Christianists became lawyers to wreck the rule of law.

I supppose we should be gratful the guy was only a science teacher, though. If he'd taught shop, he cold have built some crosses and nailed the students up!

"Cross your ankles, please? We've only got one nail...."

It seems all Obama's "Committed Christian"ing and pandering isn't doing much -- Pastors Challenge Law, Endorse Candidates From Pulpit -- "Few Americans would invite an investigation by the Internal Revenue Service, but that's exactly what Minnesota pastor Gus Booth wanted when he stood behind his pulpit and told his congregation God wanted them to vote Republican. ... "

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
