Rose Rage and Gnome Theft

Wow. I can’t say this has happened much to us, fingers crossed, but apparently in the UK it’s been something of a problem…and I thought the garden item most stolen in the EU was the garden gnome…

But don’t worry, ehow has the how-to about keeping your gnomes safe: “Garden gnome theft is a serious crime, and it’s up to owners like you to protect these defenseless woodland creatures from a life of wooden shoe making at the hands of tyrants.”

Clearly, you have not been following the progress of the shadowy Gnome Liberation Front as I have.

These gnomes not only run off on holiday without mentioning it to their householders in advance (although they do often send postcards), but they have even been known to lay seige to police stations.

Watch out for them, and don’t believe any of these tales of “gnome theft”. No one is stealing the gnomes - they are taking off on their own.
