ruth, i had a social studies teacher
when i was in a public school, no less, who told us that the "ideal relationship" for men and women was a 20 year old man and a 40 year old woman. his logic was that both reached sexual peaks at those ages, and thus were appropriate to satisfy one another in ways same-age partners could not.
for all his faults, i'd still have liked to meet him. franklin always seemed to have something funny to say, and in these days of the second imperial george, that is the kind of thing we need more of.
Wit is underrated
