Senator Dodd Wants to Know What YOU Think About Healthcare Reform

connecticut man1's picture

More specifically, he wants to know your likes and dislikes in the admittedly dysfunctional American Healthcare system:

I am thinking that this is another opportunity to drive home the message of support for Single Payer!

Have at it right over here:

Senator Dodd asks: Is your health care working? What changes would you like to see? Add your ideas at YouTube's Senate Hub at http://youtube.com/senatehub

Democratic Senators are writing a major health reform bill. Rising costs are hitting families and businesses and now 46 million Americans live without health coverage. We need reform. Respond now with your ideas as the Senate writes health care legislation. You can help.

What are you still doing here?

Doin' what I can...

As we all try to do. Smile I signed in there and voted for all of the single payer supporter questions. Gotta force them to the top!

Lambert, is there a link which lists all healthcare posts here?

Maybe send that to Dodd's office, let some staffers read our posts.

Or, we could begin posting about great posts, with links to one or two at a time?

Has anyone tried this yet? I notice it requries google sign in.

Also, does it permit sending videos? What's with this Senate YouTube Hub?

I double checked--sign in is google email and PASSWORD?? Is

that now going to be Senate property? I really don't want anyone getting my password.

Am I missing some privacy protection here?

Notice that

The google sign in is a google sign in widget. No different than when you log in anywhere else with your Google ID. I wouldn't worry about it.

google email sign in

the password only goes to google, but if you're bothered by it [and you probably should be], do what i do -- setting up google emails is easy and free and you can lie about your name, age, city, etc in your profile, so i have a couple of 'throwaway' email accounts [ie, i never actually use them for email, i just keep them for signing in to things like this].

Jawbone, I'll make one!

Now I can. Stay tuned, I'll have it before the house parties...

House parties tomorrow - don't forget!

Show up and politely press for single payer. Bring literature to hand out.

Here's the OFA page for finding your local house parties.

We will push and push and push until some larger force makes us stop.

I signed up for one that's on Tuesday at the county library--

Sign indicates it's sponsored by lots of Obama orgs. Limited to 50 and I was number 39.

thanks for this

i can't see dodd ever doing anything to hurt the insurance industry. then again, this primary challenger worked on the national health care campaign under clinton, so if dodd were to follow in the footsteps of tommy douglas....

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
