Just got finished watching Bill Moyers talk with John Nichols and Bruce Fein.
John Nichols was great, but Bruce Fein sounded pretty Shrill
, didn't he?
First time I've ever heard Moyers sound remotely like a Beltway insider--incredulous at what the peasants were saying, although maybe it was just shtick.
Both Nichols and Fein strike me as individuals who are pretty wired into ruling circles. And if this is a sample of what they're willing to say in public, then the conversations in private must be very interesting indeed.
Choppy waters ahead before we return to the safe harbor of Constitutional government, I would say.

I'm pretty sure that Moyers was playing...
... the role of the Washington Generals to the other guys' Globetrotters, at least I hope so.
Would someone please explain to me why that kind of conversation can only happen in a dank cellar at PBS, rather than on our national news every night of the week?

That would be because PBS is financed by donation rather than corporate fiat.
