Sigh. If only the Beltway hadn't hated earth tones.

This guy, remember, was wooden and offputting; he sighed too much and wore earth tones and threatened to put Social Security in a lockbox.

AlterNet points out that Al Gore was right.

But the Beltway wanted a President they could have a beer with...

Hey, that worked out so well for us all, didn't it?

Not so damn funny now, and the Beltway owes the rest of us; but instead we get
stupider Republicans. Well, Al Gore's still right.

What I want is a passport to the alternate reality where a partisan USSC didn't render a corrupt decision, and a tantrum-throwing epic failure didn't steal my country to despoil.
