Via email, Mobilize for Health Care:
Dear Friend,
CALL PELOSI NOW! (415) 556-4862 and (202) 225-0100
There are 8 people sitting in RIGHT NOW in Nancy Pelosi's Office in San Francisco! They are not leaving until they get an answer to their demands! Their demands are that the Kucinich amendment MUST be in the health care bill that the House votes on, and that the House MUST vote on the Weiner amendment.
Pelosi PROMISED the American people that she would ensure BOTH of the above would happen, and she has betrayed us by renigging on those promises!
YOU can HELP! Call her office in SF at (415) 556-4862 and Washington, DC (202) 225-0100; demand that she talk with the people sitting in. Demand that she keep her promises and put Kucinich Amendment in bill and allow Floor vote on the Weiner Amendment!
Burn up her phone lines people! This is NOT business as usual! This is FOR REAL - we can make a difference in the future of health care in this country!
Thanks,
The Mobilization Team

UPDATE Famous Pelosi quote: "They are activists. We are leaders."
UPDATE Via SF IndyMedia:
As of 1pm, there are 16 demonstrators still conducting a sit-in inside of her office and about 100 outside. There is a heavy police presence and those inside are risking arrest in order to make their demands be heard. Those outside are performing street theater including a WellPoint clown, octopus of death, and Billionaires for Wealthcare.
At 2:20pm, police arresting sit-in demonstrators.
At 2:35pm, protesters reported they met with Dan Bernal district director for Pelosi who said she is in DC. He would not put them on the phone with her. Twelve arrested, cited and released for disrupting Fed building.
Via SF Chronicle:
Police arrested them for creating a disturbance on federal property nearly three hours after they entered Pelosi's offices.
The protesters, who are in favor of a system administered by the federal government but delivered by private health care providers, entered the waiting room of Pelosi's offices at about 11:45 a.m. and were arrested around 2:30 p.m., according to Pam Allen, an attorney with the California Nurses Association. Pelosi was not in the office and did not meet or talk to them by telephone.
The activists were protesting the lack of a vote over a "Medicare for All" amendment proposed in the House bill. Pelosi was not in the office.
So, Pelosi reneged? Maybe tomorrow we'll know!
