Finally, the reason behind "reform"--change it from a "defined benefit" to a "defined contribution" plan.

Right here: "Medicare and Social Security are stretched for well-established reasons. First, retirees take out more than they put into the programs. An average-income, newly retired couple, for example, will take out 38% more than they contributed to these programs."

My question is: When did this become an issue? The program was designed as a defined benefit plan, subsidized by taxpayer money.

***This is the key, folks (I think).

It may be incremental, but I suspect that one day we'll have both a Social Security and a Medicare program that is financed out of ONLY our own contributions. Which means, obviously, that many people will have very little coverage.

to keep reporters away from General Petraeus.

Reported on Sirius/XM Radio's The Press Pool, with Julie Mason.

It was first mentioned during her interview with reporter Dominico Montanaro. She subsequently discussed this with other reporters.

Literally, they were stupified by the unreal "police presence," ostensibly to keep reporters away from Petraeus.

I knew the Administration didn't want a scandal to develop which might take away from (or hinder) the Lame Duck session, but this sounded absurd.

And the reporters were NOT amused.

"image" of my 1-minute Conrad clip.

It registers "hits" or views. It's up to "234" hits. I still get the message "This Program Is Not Available To View or Purchase."

How does it register hits? I can't access it.

Do you guess that these are hits from the video being posted here and/or Twitter?

Here's the link.
