And way to ask for my vote!
Mrs. Clinton endured boos when she mentioned her proposal for a gasoline tax holiday, catcalls when she spoke of ending the Iraq war and, most difficult of all, the heckling of her daughter, Chelsea, who introduced her. … [E]xcept for an unusually large and at times vocal contingent of Obama supporters in the crowd, the appearance went off without incident.
The only reported catcall is “End the dynasty…” And in a state that Obama’s not even contesting, they’ve got to send out goons. Nice people.
Any thoughts on whether the other catcalls were less polysyllabic?
Or what they might have been? I can’t imagine…

Well done, "creative class"!
As BDB points out below, the wankfest actually drove people toward Hillary. Haw.

On That Gas Tax
You know that theory that Wright went away, driven out by Clinton’s horrible mistake on the gas tax. Yeah, not so much:
Here’s How People Voted in Indiana and when they made up their minds:
Election Day (12%) - Clinton won 57-43%
Last 3 Days (7%) - Clinton won 58-42%
Last week (7%) - Clinton won 56-44%
Last month (20%) - Clnton won 52-48%
Earlier (55%) - Obama won 52-48%
So 26% of voters decided who to vote for in the past week, when the gas tax lekking was at it’s highest and Clinton won those voters by 12 or more points.
See http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/5/7/16493…
Clinton’s gas tax proposal was brilliant politics, which - of course - is why it had to die. Mark my words, they’ll be scrambling for it in a few months to fight off John McCain’s popular plan.
Awww, I edited my post and now it’s after lambert’s comment. Sorry about that.
Matty Y said it

If his parents paid for his education he owes them a big apology.

that kind of thinking will get him famous--
he’ll get Joe Klein or David Broder or Tim Russert’s place soon, i bet….ugh!
Right on time for Mother's Day!
As Obama Himself stated during his NC victory speech: they have rejected the “politics of division.”
Honestly, I hope the bigoted asshats continue their misogynistic hatefest, especially against Chelsea. How else can Clinton be convinced to take the fight to the convention (if possible after June)?
Well, That Was Satisfying
Just got a call asking for money from the California democratic party. Not to help with local races or even Congressional, but with the Presidential. The nice lady said that John McCain was threatening to contest California and so they needed money from me to stop him. I told her that I wasn’t very happy with the democratic party right now and that depending on how I feel about it, I might contribute later in the cycle. She didn’t argue or make a second pitch, like those tele-marketers usually do. I suspect I’m not the first person she has heard this from.
Of course, if the party wouldn’t insist on nominating someone who only leads McCain by 7 in the latest SUSA poll, the California democratic party could spend its time and money on state and local races.
Division is hard!
You’ve got remainders and you have to write the number under the other n stuff.
But subtraction is easy!
Just ask Donna Brazile!

I just saw McSame on TDS
he was funny, self-deprecating, and came across as not insane.
The Cheetopians should (but won’t) be angry that Jon failed to go for the (metaphorical) kill.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

Addition is easy
48 + 2 = legitimacy

Great article on the right wing push for Obama
Here.
John McSame wants my vote
I don’t want him to have it, I won’t give it to him, no matter what he says. But he clearly wants it.
Obama takes me for granted. That does not bode well for November.

You Know What Would Be Hysterical
Wouldn’t it be hillarious if McCain decided to reach out to Clinton now that the nomination is seemingly Obama’s and agree to support her proposal for the gas tax holiday? It could be offered as proof that he is truly for helping out working people, that he is not beholden to special interests, and that he is serious about reaching out and working accross the isle. It wouldn’t pass because there are obviously Repulicans who will vote against it, as well as Democrats who wouldn’t support it because it would make Obama look terrible. If he was smart McCain could use this issue to show that Obama’s accusations that Clinton and McCain engage in political gimmicks rather than offering solutions is really just itself a political gimmick.
Extra Expenses
“Of course, if the party wouldn’t insist on nominating someone who only leads McCain by 7 in the latest SUSA poll, the California democratic party could spend its time and money on state and local races.”
Great point BDBlue.
Democrats haven’t had to spend much money on the Presidential race in California for some time. An Obama nomination will probably require that money be spent in a can’t win without state.
Of course we must remember he has a chance to carry Colorado’s 9 electoral votes.
McCain Has Already Made a Swing Through Southern California
Several week ago and he was very quick to meet with a latin@ small business group. They interviewed a GOP operative on the local NPR station who said that the Republicans would likely contest the state (or try) if Obama is the nominee, but not if Clinton was because her ties are too deep. And this was only on the local station and after the California primary, so there was no reason to goose one political candidate over another in terms of gaming the primary.
It’s not that I think Obama will lose California. But if I have to hear about how he expands the map to Virginia, where he trails McCain by 8 in the latest Survey USA poll, then I don’t see how the opposite isn’t true for McCain. If an eight-point race indicates a state is in play, then that means right now California is in play. So is Massachusetts where Obama is only up by 2 (Obama has always polled abysmally in MA, I suspect it’s the Duval Patrick effect).
Obama's Jacobins
So these people are in Kentucky warming up for their trip to Denver where they’ve long threatened to disrupt the convention.
I wonder how many of these people have tickets to get into the convention and how they’ll react if Hillary speaks.
