Sometime last night I was speaking to a woman who was VP of a west coast operations at BofA, is very outspoken about woman's rights, and lives in Florida.

She supports Obama, very much so. She thinks Hillary is trying to steal their votes, and she believes that Florida got what it deserved re: the vote date punishment.

I was flabbergasted. I thought to myself: I see all the media, most of the dem establishment, and many of my close friends are all extremely supportive of Obama and likewise extremely hateful of Hillary. Could it possibly be that all these facts, these figures about Obama are wrong? That he doesn't lie on a regular basis, that his campaign is clean and forthright, and that Hillary is just in it to ruin our chances for everyone?

I felt for a moment like I must be insane; the world as it was MUST be different than how I see it, than how an economist or scientist would see it. Perhaps in the real world, what I see as outright lies are truths. What I see as indisputable fact is actually just my point of view.

It's enough to give me the shivers.

That, of course, was before Mr. Unity saved the party and the country from all that partisan bickering.

What could be more united having the entire country infected with CDS?

Now, what do you think Ms. Rhodes would say if Rush talked about Michelle Obama the way she just talked about Hillary Clinton? I don't think she'd find that funny. Neither would I. The difference is that I try, and admittedly fail sometimes, to spot and speak out against this type of sexist, misogynistic attack against any woman. Because once you say this is okay against HER (whether that's Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, or even Ann Coulter) it becomes okay to use it against every woman.

And, even if Ms. Rhodes doesn't give two shits about women, you'd think she'd at least care about her true love Obama. This kind of crap hurts him, too, and not just with the potential blowback from women voters, aka the majority. See, once again, zuzu. I swear, despite all the calls for moving past the 1990s, sometimes it seems that to be a public Obama supporter you aren't allowed to know or understand anything about the political history in this country for the last 40 years, including the sexist framing Republicans have used against MALE democratic candidates. But then, Obama himself seems to have a vapid and shallow understanding of our political history, as though he learned it from Meet the Press.
