Step Two: Change the perspective

Letters to the editors, calls to the talk shows: demand investigation of real issues. Flood the blogs. Contact sponsors and tell them you won’t buy their products until their programs or papers or periodicals produce real news. Then make good on your statements.

Point out to friends and family that the media isn’t telling the truth about bridge collapses, botulism outbreaks, Pat Tillman’s murder, the insurance companies’ stalling throughout the Gulf Coast, the lack of national guard manpower and equipment to respond to homeland disasters (Greensburg, KS, Cactus, TX, Pass Christian MS, etc.)

Hit them where they live and hurt them in the wallet.
You might be surprised how much better off you are, incidentally.
