UPDATE: Apparently somebody showed some sense (probably the military not the media, but still) and did not let this story get out until the matter was already resolved. The incident, per the current CNN story happened at 8:30 EST this morning. They were picked up, motored into Kabul, and winging off to Turkey before the story hit the wires. Everything else I said still applies though.

This is shaping up to be a fucking movie plot. I hope. That would be the best outcome anyway. Headline banner at CNN:

Offices (Kerry’s anyway) say that this “forced landing” was indeed due to weather, all aboard are safe and cozy, no gunfire involved, etc.

In a lot of ways, I am incredibly sheltered and naive. I honestly don’t understand racism. I’ve been really lucky and privileged to have friends and colleauges who have no problem treating all people decently and equally. So I can’t really grok why Biden, after sticking his foot all the way down to his lower intestines with his Obama-is-Clean-and-Articulate snafu, would come back with this ’explanation.’

Under questioning from reporters at his announcement conference call, Mr. Biden was pressed on what he meant in his description of Mr. Obama, particularly in his use of the word clean.

“He understood exactly what I meant,” Mr. Biden said. “And I have no doubt that Jesse Jackson and every other black leader — Al Sharpton and the rest — will know exactly what I meant.”

Dude, you just got done making an ass of yourself, and now you’re going to take it even further by presuming you know what other Black men think? Those two Black men??? And that you speak for them, in public, on this issue? I’m just boggling at his…help me out here. Arrogance? Stupidity? Racism so deep he doesn’t even know it when it comes out of his mouth?

Clearly, Biden is in that class of people who believe that Black folks need White folks to tell them what to think. How does one get to that point, in this day and age? Science has long since proved that we not only have brains of equal size, but that we can use them, all by ourselves. It amazes me that deep down, Biden doesn’t understand this simple fact.

Fuck you, Hairplug. And I really, truly mean that. Fucks like you don’t use those words, especially “articulate,” in this day and age without knowing what a loaded code word it is. You may officially Kiss my Black Ass.
