Bail out, worse than you thought

TChris asks, "Did you know this?" and then reports on something I certainly did not know - that the bailout bill creates permanent authority for the IRS to work as undercover agents running sting operations to try to tempt citizens into breaking the law, as well as involving themselves in investigations of drug case in order to bust dealers for not reporting their income, which, as TChris says, is really stupid, because dealers don't usually save any money to collect on.

It is not hard to see how that is going to come back to bite Busheviki.

McCain: If you roll the Hard Six, have the decency to claim it on your taxes.

Dr. Wiley S. Drake, Southern Baptist pastor from California and apparently second in command of the Southern Baptist Convention, has been caught sending out letters to the membership of the entire SBC on church stationary telling them that god wants them to vote for Mike Huckabee.

A Washington, D.C., watchdog group is filing a complaint with the Internal Revenue Service against television evangelist Mac Hammond's Brooklyn Park mega-church based on documents obtained by Minnesota Monitor that purport the pastor arranged several lucrative deals with the church.
These documents allege Hammond bought a plane from the Living Word Christian Center and then leased it and another plane back to the church for almost $900,000 a year and obtained loans –- some of them unsecured –- for $1.9 million.
