Enabling eliminationist rhetoric (and the Dolchstoßlegende) with the word "extremist"
NPR is teh suck, really. They too have followed Pony
Blow and migrated to using "extremists" to describe whoever the Fuck
Bush sent to troops to fight in Iraq. There are some big problems with this:

Fixing History on the Fly
In a subversive fit of demonic possession, General JC Christian goes all Orwellian.
His post stirred something in my defeatist innards, hence these lyrics did flowy-go down my finger-tips. Of course, history will eventually prove that I didn't write these lyrics, and no such lyrics will have ever existed, so better enjoy them (or not) for now...

Fixing History on the Fly
The past is present and the future's gone
Those are not bodies on the White House lawn
History is just one big con
A lie that's told just for laughs
Don't need erasers, don't need whiteout
Just hit delete and wash it out
Better not cry and better not shout
We will adjust all the photographs
We tell lies just for the laughs
We have always been at war with Oceania!
Dan Bartlett: "It's never been a stay the course strategy." But check the videos and the transcript.
This is blatant, even for the Republicans.
More new euphemisms for torture
Iraq isn't the only place where shit's dripping. Let's watch our famous free press and Bush do the Cleveland steamer on new euphemisms for torture. First, let's forget about that bogus "clarity" for young professionals talking point that Bush was trying to get the gullible to accept. The law is vague:
The bill would create military commissions to prosecute terrorism suspects. It also describes — at times vaguely — ways that CIA interrogators cannot treat detainees, in effect granting the president wide leeway to decide what is legally permissible.
Now, the euphemisms:

] (not to mention his authoritarian cultism):
I had the opportunity this afternoon to be part of a relatively small group who heard President Bush talk, extemporaneously, for around forty minutes. ...
The conventional wisdom is that Bush is not a very good speaker. But up close, he is a great communicator, in a way that, in my opinion, Ronald Reagan was not.
Authoritarian hero worship. Not a pretty sight.
He was by turns instructive, persuasive, and funny. His persona is very much that of the big brother. Above all, he was impassioned. I have never seen a politician speak so evidently from the heart, about big issues--freedom, most of all.
Yeah, Bush is "instructive," all right. I didn't know they told fart jokes in Room 101!
And now, put down your coffee:
I've sometimes worried about how President Bush can withstand the Washington snake pit and deal with a daily barrage of hate from the ignorant left that, in my opinion, dwarfs in both volume and injustice the abuse directed against any prior President.
Oh? You mean Bush was impeached over a blowjob?
And, say, why are these guys getting a personal tour of the White House with Bush?
