The Boy in the Bubble II

NBC. Looks like Mr. Hopey forget to take his anti-cranky pill yesterday:

Toward the end of the press conference, the question of Goolsbee's meeting was raised again. Obama answered curtly and then walked out after a staffer called last question. The press erupted with shouts, but Obama continued to walk out.

He paused only to say, "Come on guys; I answered like eight questions. We're running late.”

On the flight from San Antonio to Dallas, Obama, unsurprisingly, did not wander back to make small talk with the traveling press corps

Sheesh. Imagine that. Eight questions. Remind you of anybody?

I mean, did some hapless aide forget Obama's favorite sleepy pillow at the last campaign stop?

NOTE More on Obama's bubble. Froomkin was the first to highlight this. Interesting, isn't it, that the old-timers who were there for us in 2000, 2002 are the ones to be picking up on these danger signals?

Obama Bubble v. McCain's BBQ

One guy keeps the press at arm's length, one guy throws them BBQs. (I wondered why McCain was back to being Mr. Integrity so fast). Obama's media darling status isn't going to last.

And, while I know it's Fox, here's the most complete video I could find last night of the press conference.

"Do what you feel in your heart to be right -- for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't. " - Eleanor Roosevelt

Sadly, I was yemering this point for months. It isn't the pillow only. Here a shortened list:

-Change from Clinton to ...
-Unity
-Obama isn't fast on his feet (debates) because he is not as smart as other politicians
-using the Rove tactics
-hate mongers (jointedly to the Clintons)
-Fans will stick with no matter what

The Republicans win with McCain or Obama.

Eight questions...

Gawd...how could you not think that was enough....
Gawd....

Obama and the press

Obama’s media darling status isn’t going to last.

He's not their darling. He's just the Anti-Clinton. And if he doesn't realize that real fast if/when he secures the nomination, he's gonna be in big trouble against McCain.

'Mr. Hopey'....heh.....

Ima gonna steal that. Segues into 'Mr. Dopey' so damn well.

Makes ya think twice about Haaahvaard, don't it?

Obama

is, I think, in deep deep trouble. He spent most of yesterday fending off questions on Rezko, on his campaign's interaction with Canadian officials. Instead of answering questions, he spent his time blaming the Clintons for throwing "the kitchen sink" at him. Any criticism is considered unfair. His response is always "why don't you love me?" and "can't you see that I am the one you have been waiting for all these years?"

Well some do see him as that messiah, me more like the anti-christ.

I must admit

I have fallen in love. I adore vastleft and chicagodyke. Lambert, xan and shystee too. You're all just brilliant. Thanks for all that you do.
