Why does the Grey Lady always revert to the girl who just can't say No, when fed a story like this?

NOTE Not to mention there's no reason to give the "confession" any credence at all, since it was taken under torture. And the backstory is simply to legitimize the so-called tribunals set up under the MCA. Feh. No doubt the Cheetohs-stained ones are circlejerking themselves into insensibility over this, so I feel compelled to say something. Transparently bogus as this clearly is.
