The coming assault on Medicare

Prediction — A Major Assault By The Health Insurance Industry Will Be Launched To Destroy the Medicare System Before BUSH Leaves Office

thepolicycenter.org predicts that A Major Assault By The Health Insurance Industry Will Be Launched To Privatize the Medicare System Before BUSH Leaves Office. How can we be so sure that this will happen? Because if I were a health insurer or HMO I would know that this is my last chance to significantly capture huge amounts of federal dollars before the opportunity door closes. Insurers and HMOs have always been very opportunistic groups and they realize that the next administration will be a lot tougher on them then the present administration.

Be forewarned, the worst of the Bush Administration is yet to come.

This is the insurance industry’s way of heading off HR 676 before it has a chance. So we need to keep the pressure up on Republicans as well as Democrats. Over the fourth of July holiday you may have a chance to talk to your Senator and/or Representative. Ask them about HR 676, Medicare for All.

I wonder how the IMF and Moody's feel about Medicare?

I’m betting they’re against it…

[x] Very tepidly voting for Obama [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.

Coming Assault?

Remember back in the 1990’s when the insurance companies and HMO started buying public Hospitals and closing them reducing the overall number of beds in the system?

Naw Medicare is dead. This is beyond a done deal, medicare has been dead for the last seven years at least. Ask any one who bills medicare for service. Six months to a year before you get paid and often only 40-60% of costs.

The assault is complete and the system has fallen. If you want a different medical system move to another country or start building a new one. This fight was over during Bush’s first term. It’s too late.

Local Report

Local blogs are reporting that Senate Republicans are mad that McConnell orchstrated the Medicare payment cuts.

Bill Clinton for First Dude!!!

3 cheers for the local blogs

If Medicare is so bad, why have so many doctors endorse Medicare for All?

IMF

Lambert- Good catch. Now is the time to start thinking about that.
