    Well, that's weird

Feingold sounded quite critical of Obama on the Daily Show last night.

Two names that stuck out for me

I see that Penny Pritzker is still involved officially in the campaign. And I like how they identify her as associated with some partnership instead of as a failed bank executive and billionaire asshole. Just goes to show that when it comes to bailing out Wall Street, Obama really isn't sorry and really would rather just have the money (although to be fair, Pritzker failed her bank before it was all the rage and is a Chicago parasite and not technically a Wall Street one).

Also I noticed that Kamala Harris is on there. I guess that explains her sign-on to the awful mortgage settlement. Gotta have some talking points for those fundraising calls.

Anyone expecting more from Feingold, hasn't been paying attention, IMO.

Harris looked shady to me too.

Naw, Feingold was pretty much an obvious sell out from the get.

I mean, from the get go on Obama.

Sorry, I don't have links to support the claim in the title, though I've read a lotta stuff. Another example of a Dem who tries to seem like he is "really challenging" the Dem establishment, but then folds.

FWIW, he has a book. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/21/russ-feingold-book-gop-2012_n_1289428.html?ref=books&ir=Books

Much like Al Franken, I'm afraid. I got suckered in. I think his heart's in the right place, but his brain and his wallet are somewhere else.

    Feingold and his org

Feingold and his org Progressives United came out in support of Obama months ago.

Feingold is and has always been a sham progressive. He made a couple of star turn gestures during the Bush years, but while progressives were desperately looking for a leader to be a voice and spokesperson for their issues, he was silence itself.

    Feingold? You mean this Feingold?

Feingold blasts Obama super PAC decision

"It is a dumb approach," Feingold said in a phone interview with The Huffington Post. "It will lead to scandal and there are going to be a lot of people having corrupt conversations about huge amounts of money that will one day regret that they went down the route of what is effectively a legalized Abramoff system."

"Democrats have tried this strategy before, when enormous amounts of soft money were raised by Democratic Leadership in the 1990s. The result was the enactment, with active Democratic support, of a corporate-dominated policy agenda that included trade policies that shipped millions of family-supporting jobs overseas, fiscally reckless tax laws that greatly increased our long-term debt, and the disastrous banking and financial deregulation that paved the way for the worst recession since the Great Depression.

"Just as importantly, this corrupting tactic will gut a winning, progressive strategy. When Democrats play by Republican rules, people see our party as weak, and a false alternative to the power of rich individual and corporate interests that are increasingly dominating our government.

"This is dancing with the devil. I know a lot of Democrats in D.C. don’t agree, and I understand the desire to do everything possible to win. But this decision will push Democrats to become corporate-lite, and will send us head-on into a battle we know we will lose, because Republicans like Mitt Romney and his friends have and will spend more money.

"Two years ago, the President was right to chastise the Supreme Court for its lawless ruling in Citizens United. Now, he and his campaign need to live up to those principles and reject the support of any Super PACs."

Funny how that works, doesn't it?

    Valley Girl's picture

And if Obama doesn't reject the support of Super PACs...

    Feingold is gonna ...do what?

    Nothing, I would imagine.

Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
