This time, foreign journalists:
Although Obama portrays himself as the best candidate to engage the rest of the world and restore America’s image abroad, and many Americans support him for that reason, so far he has almost completely refused to answer questions from foreign journalists. When the press plane leaves tonight for his trip, there will be, as far as I know, no foreign media aboard. The Obama campaign has refused multiple requests from international reporters to travel with the candidate.
As the campaign has progressed, access has become more difficult for foreign correspondents. E-mail inquiries get no reply, phone calls are not returned. My colleagues and I know: We are last in line. We don’t matter.
Incroyable. Unwahrscheinlich.
Or not.

reminds me of someone, but who could it be?
hmm…right on the tip of my tongue…that guy—you know—he’s like the current “leader of the free world” now?

also, it's just how he treats the GLBT & AA press--
Obama Snubs Black Media
Gay press frustrated by Obama approach
but not the religious right’s newsletters and media—-ever.
He doesn’t need the foreign press
when he gets the lead story in the Sunday NY Times and has all the network news anchors and the whole American press entourage* following him around like sycophants. This is 2000 redux with the flavor of D instead R. Then it was Bush who was the party’s savior because he had the look, the name, the ruthlessness, and the money – to hell with the experience and competence crap. Ultimately it turned out bad for their party (not to mention the entire country, but that’s secondary), but on the way to Republican demise they had one hell of a time stuffing their pockets full and playing the power game. The Democrats, having seen themselves cut out of the game entirely as they were forced to the sidelines, realize this is their turn. FISA had nothing to do with Bush and everything to do with Obama and the Dems and their turn at the trough. Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. We saw that when the R’s controlled both houses of Congress and the executive. We’re heading now toward the flip side of the coin. Arrogance they name is Obama. And the entrenched Dems are counting their ducats while basking in its iniquitous light.
* With the exception of Ryan Lizza, Washington correspondent of The New Yorker, who was left behind with the foreigners “due to to space constraints.”
Ryan Lizza, author of "Making It" on Obama?
subtitled “How Chicago Shaped Obama”? In that controversially-covered New Yorker?
Axelrod said they were basing their campaign on Bush’s—and they used “free speech zones” in Unity
to keep back the PUMA’s…all this pesky little First Amendment stuff is just too much trouble.
Offending the foreign press, too? Good start.

Axelrod said? Where?
[ ] Very tepidly voting for Obama [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.
